Day 12

Today we show the project to out tutor and he considered it good enough. There are some additions that he suggested to realize so we will do them as soon as possible.

I also spent time with the class that came to the institute in Huelva while I was waiting for my tutor to finish taking an exam for our meeting.

I will add a link to the document we made and also the repository for the page in case you want to see the results.

Day 11

We haven't left the room during this weekend besides having lunch and dinner.

We wanted to have for today something we could show to our teacher. In the end, we couldn't show anything because today he had to fill for a teacher all day.

We divided the project and got our hand on it during the weekend.

I created the structure of the page using Astro and also investigated Alpine.js.

Daniel and I also wrote the page script.

Daniel and Volodimir got to write the report we are doing.

Volodimir Investigated HTMX.

Astro has been overall a really easy tool to use, due to having a similar structure to HTML and having enough information on the Web.

Alpine.js was also a interesting tool to use. Sadly part of it's content is behind a paywall and our tutor didn't consider worth paying.

Day 8

Project Update.

I've tried multiple methods without significant progress. I also tired to switch to  different platform but still i have no success in enabling the feature.

I managed to enable actions and pull requests in Github, but it wasn't what our teacher really wanted.

Yesterday we had a conversation whit out tutor Helmut and he offered us doing a different project.

There is only one person who actually knows how to use the feature but since the school is currently in the middle of the final exams and there is a shortage of teachers we can't meet whit this person.

We were offered to create a website using 'The AHA stack', a recent proposed combination of language programmes that aims to simplify Website creation by using a less JS-heavy approach.

This afternoon we went to a theme park with out tutor in Vienna a got to try some typical Austrian food from a popular chain restaurant called 'Schweizerhaus'.

The main dish you can see it's a grilled giant pork knuckle, the speciality of the restaurant. It wasn't up to my taste because it had a lot of fat, but it was good regardless.

We accompany this dish whit sweet salad, potatoes and mustard sauce.

For dessert we had "Powidltascherln". it's made with potatoes and has prune jam inside. I did like the dessert way more, even though i'm not a fan of  warm desserts.

Day 6

 Good afternoon everyone!

Today vladi is feeling much better.

As usual, we got up early for breakfast, and today there were scrambled eggs as a speciality

At the end of breakfast, we decided to go ahead with the project because we are going on a trip to Vienna again on Friday, but this time in the company of Helmut, who will be our guide.

For lunch, there was a spicy chicken wing that was delicious. We decided to accompany them with some salad for a varied meal.
For dessert, there was a sponge cake with a layer of redcurrant jam on top which gave it a sour touch.

Everything was delicious.

As the wifi at the university was a bit unstable, we decided to continue in the hotel room again.

Today we stumbled into a wall regarding the project. I've spend the last few days trying multiple methods for enabling the feature, but the require additional programs like docker, who doesn't work on neither of the computers.

We also made a doc where we kept all of the git commands we were using, in other to have some reference for future projects.

Day 5

 Good afternoon everyone!

As Vladi was not feeling very well, we spent today working on the Gitea project we had been assigned.

We got up early to have breakfast without problems

And once we finished we went to the project room that has been set up at the university.

There we talked to the professors to ask for indications and advice on how to continue the project.

Turns out there is not a lot of information regarding Gitea actios, the programme we are supposed to use, and what little there is, is incomplete.

For lunch we chose hot dog with fries and mashed potatoes with meat. When the lady who gave us the food saw us looking hungry she offered us another hot dog, which we quickly devoured.

As the wifi at the university was a bit unstable, we decided to continue in the hotel room.

We spend the afternoon learning about Git, since it was a tool that was needed for the project and none of us ever use it.

Day 4

Hello everyone,

It's another day here in Hollabrunn, and today we have done a lot of interesting things.

First of all, we woke up really early because we wanted to do everything on time. So we dressed and went to eat breakfast.

Breakfast was so good and healthy. After that we went to reception and waited for Helmut.

We filled out some papers and then headed to the institute. We saw many students preparing for their final exams.

Helmut also taught us many workshops:

Helmut also showed us some completed projects, explaining the process and the pieces that we needed to unite.

After the excursion, we went to the project room to start the Erasmus+ project and did some research.

Our project will be to create a CI pipeline whit Gitea, a repository platform similar to Github.

After that, we attended Ute's English class. It was very interesting, and we learned new words and concepts. At 12:30, we went to lunch with some students.

In conclusion, we were very impressed with the ambiance and the size of the institute. Everything was so clean and modern.

Day 3

Good afternoon everyone!

Today I'll show you bit more from Hollabrunn. In specific, a hiking route build arround Hollabrunn's vineyards called "Auf den Suren der Kellerkatze" or "On the trail of the cellar cat".

This entry will be mostly pictures that i took during the trip with some trivia between them.

The cat is the symbol of the town, due to it's irreplaceable help in keeping the mice away from the wine cellars.

A plague caused by a parasite insect called Phylloxera (Phylloxera vastatrix) introduced from America during the 19th century almost brought the region into economic collapse.

Although, once Holabbrunn became officially a city 1908, the community experienced a rapid uprising, offering new professions for its citizens.

Hollabrunn also brought back the almost extinct tradition of scarecrows in the region, with these colourful and wacky designs.

The tin cans below these scarecrows create a distinct sound that makes birds flee.

I got really lucky because a wine cellar alley guide allow me to visit one of the old cellars and try some of the local wine.

Austria doesn't have many big wine corporations, akin to Freixenet or Don Simón in Spain. Vineyard owners make their own wine, so if you are wine connoisseur it's going to be really easy to find something of your taste.

At lunchtime we went to try an Italian restaurant recommended to us by the locals "Pizza al forno". All the pizzas and dishes were handmade in an antique wood oven.

The restaurant was run by an italian family that had emigrated to austria.

Lieblingspizza

We tried three pizzas: Toscana, Funghi and Lieblingspizza. They were all very good

To digest our meal, we took a walk to a nearby calisthenics park. We were impressed by a free book rental booth where you could take as many books as you wanted if you left the same amount and returned them on time.

For us it was funny to find a sausage vending machine on the street where people bought sausages 24 hours a day.

When we arrived at the gymnastics park, we did some exercises to compensate for the food. After that we went home to rest and prepare for tomorrow.
